Unilever - 20 years of history


Having set up operations here in 1995, throughout 20 years, Unilever Vietnam has gone on to become one of the most successful fast-moving-consumer-good (FMCG) companies in the country, employing over 1,500 people.

Unilever Vietnam has built up a sterling reputation in Vietnam for our quality consumer goods, the high number of jobs we creates here, and by making a considerable contribution towards the country’s economic growth over the past two decades.

Nowadays, more than 35 million people in Vietnam use one or more Unilever products every day. Many of our brands, including OMO, Lifebuoy, Sunsilk, Clear, Lipton, and Knorr…, have become household names and have become an indispensable part of people’s lives.

Unilever Vietnam has thrived by continuously upgrading. The 700+ products that it has introduced on to the local market meet both international standards and domestic tastes, and are reasonably priced.

20 years may not be a long time in the history of a company, but at Unilever Vietnam, we are proud that in the short span of 20 years, we have been able to achieve so much. What we have achieved, we have done so by staying true to our mission of ‘Making Vietnamese Lives Better’ every day.


Our company is committed to giving back to the local community. Among the company’s most significant annual programmes aimed at improving the living standard of Vietnamese people, especially women and children, are the “P/S Protects Vietnamese Smiles”, “OMO Playground for Children Development”, and “Micro-Financing for Women’s Employment and Income Generation”.
